Let's challenge ourselves to look a little deeper.
I've been fortunate enough to work at some very cool jobs:
I started my career as a software engineer at IBM and ended up doing 7 years there, plus 4 summers of internships! And I got to work with my DAD :-)
I worked for Microsoft for ten years on the dot. I started in PSS on Visual C++, worked with enterprise customers in Microsoft Consulting Services, then I had some fun working in Microsoft Game Studios on games and Xbox 360. I finished up working on the original Zune product.
I spent seventeen+ years at Google and loved every minute. My kids grew up when I was at Google and they're intertwined. At Google, I did Datacenter software, a little payments software, I worked on compiler-automation/infra software, helped ship the initial ChromeOS product, worked with enterprise customers on the new Google Cloud, and then taught people how to use Cloud in Google Learning Services.
I learned way more than I expected in my short time with Amazon Web Services: about sixteen months. I worked on Cloud Reliabiilty software, and some cloud service regulatory/compliance across all Amazon Web Services.
I spent about a year with Dexcom where I worked hard to build software that really helps people directly.
I'm a proud graduate of the University of Arizona. I've been accepted and completed courses for computer science graduate programs at: The University of Washington, Georgia Tech, and Southern Methodist University.
I married my college sweetheart and we remain together over thirty years later. Together we raised four amazing children who make me proud every day. I'm supported by my loving parents, my four siblings who taught me to laugh, love, and fish, and my in-laws who complement my world perfectly.
